It was a pleasure working with Royce from Hargraves Homes on the construction of our new home. From the outset, their team, including our excellent site foreman Robbie Sampson, demonstrated very high commitment to our project. Royce consistently kept us well-informed throughout the build and also liaised effectively with our architect, ensuring a smooth and collaborative process. Furthermore, any potential issues were raised proactively, often with well-thought-out solutions, and the final result is a testament to their commitment to high-quality workmanship.
Situated on a generous site down a private driveway in Mt Eden, the formerly tired 1990's home has undergone the ultimate facelift. The extensive renovation designed by award winning architect Guy Tarrant, provides 21st century living at its finest. Initially a plaster clad house, this renovation kept its original position with a small addition to the footprint. The renovation required large scale demolition. The garage was retained (and reclad), much of the ground floor internal wall structure , plus the first level floor remained intact. A simple pallette of New Zealand made bricks, Metalcraft Colour Steel, with a hint of cedar make up the exterior. Internally, the brick continues accompanied by tiles and maple, all adding texture to the contemporary design. A home rich in detail, right down to the bespoke banquette, makes this home unrecognisable from it's former self. Lastly a swimming pool and landscaped gardens were added, making this urban home a true Eden. Carefully crafted with a build period of fifteen months, this model of elegant and modern living was a joy to build and has exceeded expectations for both builder and owner.
